"Reflections", Oil on raw canvas.
A 2-Way painting, circa 1975.
Technically, this painting was created
years before I knew anything about Lake
Gaston. I painted it one morning beside
a garden growing alongside a pond in
Norfolk, Virginia. This was back in my
20-minute
Painting period, when I painted
artwork that could be hung in multiple
directions. Years later, while sitting
on a Lake Gaston dock, I recalled this
particular painting in detail, realizing
that reflections of plants in ponds, and
nearly everything else in this world,
would still be here long after I'm gone.
At any
rate, that's why I decided to include
"Reflections" as a Lake Gaston poster. I
hope you like it.
